We are lucky as often discover great places we would like to come back when we look for new travel destinations for our clients. We decided to share with you our top three discoveries around Wrocław: perfect places for a weekend breake. Here is our subjective TOP 3.
For romantics: Boreczna resturant – Michałkowa
Our top favorite is the Boreczna Restaurant in Michałkowa. It is a magical place, perfect for a romantic weekend for two, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, only 70 km from Wrocław. We fell in love with picturesque and peaceful surroundings, the wonderful atmosphere, and delicious food. The chef Wojciech Harapkiewicz is exceptional. He creates masterpieces of taste. There are several tastefully furnished apartments in the building. The owner, Viola, created beautiful interiors, painstakingly taking care of every detail. The view of the sunrise over the lake from the apartment terrace is absolutely priceless!

For wine lovers: Vineyard Jaworek – Miękinia
We can recommend a weekend trip to Miękinia, where the Jaworek is located, to all fans of Polish wines and regional flavors. Visit to the vineyard is combined with wine tasting and dinner in a restored farmhouse, making it perfect for a successful evening for two or an occasional family or business meeting. The owners would be more than happy to tell you the history of the place. It is still quite rare concept in Poland to offer vineyard trips, restaurant visit and accommodation, making an overnight stay possible, even for larger parties.
For glamping enthusiasts: the Lapland village of Kalevala in Borowice
Our last recommendation s a place that was created out of love for Finland. The owners, Michał and Magda, are passionate people who decided to recreate bit of Lapland in Poland. They have created an unusual place, where you can spend the night in hanging tents (a firm favourite with children) or in more glamour surroundings. The village is full of original Scandinavian attractions for adults and children alike. You can use a real Finnish sauna or a bath barrel. Children love friendly pets. The huskies, Kaluś and Sampuś, and a reindeer provide many attractions. The owners are truly passionate.
Even if it is less than 2 hours from Wrocław you can easily forget about the city and enjoy truly holiday vibe.
